To steady your energy before the festive season, to breathe deeply in good company, and return home feeling grounded, calm, and renewed.

A nourishing winter afternoon of movement, forest stillness, and reflection to restore your rhythm and lift your spirit.

As the year begins to quieten, this half-day retreat invites you to pause, breathe, and reconnect in the heart of the New Forest. We’ll gather in the warmth of Hale Village Hall, surrounded by woodland and winter light, for an afternoon of grounding yoga, soulful meditation, and a mindful hike through some of the forest’s most beautiful trails.

A FOREST JOURNEY THROUGH LIGHT AND STILLNESS

We’ll begin the day indoors with a welcoming tea before settling into a nourishing yoga flow and meditation to ground the body and clear the mind. After a pause for homemade seasonal treats and herbal tea, we’ll layer up and set out for a guided walk through the ancient landscapes of the New Forest.

Our route winds through peaceful woodland paths, across gentle streams, and past old villages and historic churches. You might spot wild ponies, deer, and winter fungi as the light softens toward sunset.

We’ll return to the hall as dusk falls for gentle movement and closing reflection. A moment to share warmth, stillness, and community as the day draws to a close.

A mindful afternoon of movement, forest immersion, and seasonal stillness, an opportunity to slow down before the build-up to Christmas and reconnect with nature’s quieter pace.

12:45 – Opening Circle, Breath + Meditation, Sharing, and Grounding Yoga Flow
13:50 – Seasonal Tea + Sweet Treat Break
14:30 – Guided Sunset Hike through the New Forest
16:30 – Gentle Yoga, Closing Circle, Reflection + Tea

what to bring

  • Comfortable, waterproof layers for yoga and walking

  • Walking shoes or boots suitable for forest trails

  • Warm clothing, hat, and gloves

  • A reusable water bottle and travel mug for tea

  • Optional: a blanket or cushions

  • Yoga mats and props
